Selected to be a part of Next Gem Femme's inaugural mentorship program, created by Femme It Forward and Live Nation, to empower, educate and promote career opportunities for young women of color in the workforce by pairing these talented women with leading female entrepreneurs already established in the music, entertainment, technology and social justice industries.
Throughout the year-long program, 200 female mentees of color will receive exposure to real-time projects, professional one-on-one coaching, resume-building advice, industry insights and networking opportunities.
In addition to participating in the program, I volunteered at their Big Femme Energy Live Tour in Los Angeles where I worked on behalf of Lauren Byrd (director of brand partnerships at Femme It Forward) to help document, distribute and welcome their sponsor, Black Girl Magic Winery.
